# How to mint nsASTR from Astar EVM (L1) to Soneium Mainnet (L2) If you have already staked your ASTR on Astar EVM, you can mint nsASTR on Soneium. Here’s a quick step-by-step guide on how to do it. #### Step 1: Head to the app. Head to app.neemo.finance. Connect your wallet. If you’ve already staked ASTR, you’ll get an option to mint on L2 in the left pane.

#### Step 2: Mint nsASTR on Minato. Click on “Mint on L2” button to begin the minting process. Approve the request in your wallet. It takes about 5-10 minutes for the minting process to go through.

#### Step 3: Switch to Soneium Network. Now, you must switch to Soneium Network to see the nsASTR in your wallet. Select the Soneium network from the dropdown in the top-right.

Once you’ve done that, you’ll see nsASTR balance on the screen.

#### Step 4: Add nsASTR to Wallet. Scroll down to add your nsASTR to MetaMask/wallet of your choice. You’ll then see nsASTR reflected in your wallet.
